Hi, I’m Katelyn! I’m the artist behind Katelyn’s Kandids, and I’m passionate about capturing the authentic moments that make every love story unique. From the carefully planned details to the unexpected moments in between, I want your photos to feel genuine, personal, and true to you.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m pursuing my Master’s in Secondary Education after earning my bachelor’s degree in Biology from Washington State University. I’ve always loved combining creativity and curiosity in everything I do, and that carries into my photography. I’m constantly looking for unique perspectives, creative poses, and those unexpected shots that feel a little different from the rest.

For over 16 years, I’ve had the privilege of turning my passion for filmmaking into a career I truly love. With a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications, I founded Rocking Chair Productions to chase a dream of telling meaningful stories through film. I approach every wedding with creativity, looking for unique shots and authentic moments that make each couple’s story their own. More than anything, I genuinely care about the couples who trust me to capture one of the most important days of their lives. My goal is simple: create beautiful, timeless films they’ll treasure for a lifetime.

My journey into wedding videography began in 2019, when my husband, Cailen, needed a second shooter. What started as simply lending a hand quickly grew into a passion of my own.
While videography isn’t my primary career, I love having the opportunity to help couples capture the unique, intimate, and unforgettable moments that make their wedding day their own. My favorite part of filming is catching all those little moments the bride and groom may not get to see like the quiet reactions, candid laughs, happy tears, and special interactions happening around them throughout the day.
Knowing that we can preserve those moments and give our couples the chance to experience them for years to come is what makes wedding videography so special to me. I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside Cailen and be a part of telling each couple’s story through film.
